Bo Kluea is a stack of narrow terraces cut into a hillside, and farming them is a matter of moving water and soil downhill by hand, one step at a time.
Three days in the village is enough to understand the system and not enough to do anything useful to it, which the programme is honest about.
Nights are cold above the valley and the road up is narrow. Both are worth knowing before you book.

Up to the terraces
Morning Travel up to the Bo Kluea village. Late Morning Understand the terrace irrigation system with a host. Evening Dinner, cold night. Night Homestay one. -
DAY02
Terrace work
Early Morning Field work on the terraces. Late Morning Moving soil and water, which is what terrace farming actually is. Evening Dinner and talk about water rights. Night Homestay two. -
DAY03
Down to Lampang
Morning Breakfast and a last walk down the terraces. Late Morning Return to Lampang. Afternoon Free time. TBD — return time must be confirmed.
